You probably think it won't happen to you. But trust us, you will arrive in the US and at some point you will feel a bit out of place. Sounds and smells are different. Maybe you don't feel comfortable in your new home and in your new family. You think "this isn't what I was expecting". Guess what? This is actually what homesickness and cultural adjustment feel like.
